Role Overview
The Regional Technical Sales & Key Account Engineer is the regional primary commercial growth driver within the United Automation Hub’s Shared Sales division in the United States.
This role reports directly to the Head of Sales USA or the U.S. Executive Leadership.
Work Locations:
- A fully equipped workstation at the United Automation Hub Cincinnati
- Hybrid/remote work is possible, but:
→ 70–80% of the time must be spent with customers on-site in the specific region.
→ Sales is fundamentally a people-to-people business, and physical presence is a core strategic advantage.
The engineer owns and develops a defined territory (Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan). As the organization scales, each engineer will gradually shift toward exclusive state ownership, becoming the dedicated Territory Owner for one U.S. state and therefore also has the opportunity to grow within the company for a higher position.
The role combines to take care of the existing Key Account Customers with:
- Technical sales of UAH Shared Service offerings (Engineering, Commissioning, Software, Field Service, Machine Relocation)
- Sales of the UAH Service level Agreements to Manufacturers and Machine Builders with recurring monthly commission
- Representation and sales of our European Shared Sales partner products (robots, feeding systems, gripping technology, conveyors, components) (sales commission exclusive for ever sale in that state)
- Active new business development (40%)
- Key account management of existing cutomers (60%)
- Selling UAH’s proprietary SaaS products (UAH Connect, ORBIT, AMS, RMS) with recurring monthly commission
Compensation & Benefits
A) Base Salary
- $75,000 – $85,000 USD depending on experience and region
- OTE > $200K
B) Commission & Bonus Structure
1. SLA Commission – 10% recurring
Paid monthly for the full duration of every Service Level Agreement.
2. New Customer Bonus – $3,000
For each new customer purchasing automation services, or software services.
3. SaaS Subscription Commission – recurring
For every UAH SaaS product subscription sold into the account.
4. Lifetime Account Commission (Territory Ownership)
All business generated within the assigned state is always commissionable:
- Services
- Components
- Partner products
- SaaS solutions
- Follow-up orders
- Repeat business
This creates long-term earning potential and strong customer retention incentives.
